If you are a fan of eBooks and the owner of Microosft smartphone at the same time, then you canīt miss this opportunity - top notch reader is now available also for this platform.
Version: 3.

Mobipocket Reader is a quite complex program - covering such features as eBook reading, eDictionaries, eNews and more - therefore this review is being continuously extended to cover more topics as we use the program. Please come back later here to see new versions of this review with more features, tips and descriptions.

Microsoft has not provided Microsoft Reader for the Microsoft smartphone cell phones, and by now the only eBook readering software available was able to use text only format - format in which no commercial eBooks are being sold. Therefore Mobipocket Reader is the first serious reader available for Microsoft smartphone.

When you first open the Mobipocket Reader it shows you the Library View in which you can see eBooks located on your memory card and in memory of your smartphone:

The menu in Library View looks different than menu available while reading some eBook:

Unfortunately we had problems to get PID - the unique ID that is needed to buy secure eBooks and eDictionaries:

... but this problem is resolved in the upcoming version 4.7 of the Mobipocket Reader for Microsoft smartphone (we have tested version 4.6).

User can use select font sizes - to be able to read comfortable depending on the conditions and mood. Here is how the font sizes look like - beginning from the smallest, and ending with the biggest:

You can also rotate the screen: 90 degrees left, 90 degrees right and 180 degrees. Here is example how the screen looks like when the screen is rotated 90 degrees left:

Please note: Mobipocket and msmobiles.com have an agreement regarding publishing of eNews (off-line reading of news), so if you have a Mobipocket Reader and would like to get latest news about Microsoft powered cell phones from msmobiles.com then just click here to learn how to do it.

Conclusions: this eBook reader is the first reader that allows users of Microsoft smarpthone to buy and use secure eBooks otherwise not avaiable in plain text formats. Usually eBook shops (we recommend www.fictionwise.com) offer download of files in various formats:

Fictionwise supports "Secure eBooks" in 4 formats: Mobipocket, Microsoft Reader, Palm Reader, and Adobe Reader 6.0.

... and Mobipocket is usually one of them! Therefore at last users of Microsoft smartphone are able to fully utilize thousands of eBooks available at various eBooks shops.

REMEMBER: we are testing this program yet, and this review will be extended in future to cover more features, provide tips and additional information. Come back here later for newer version, when we will gather more experiences with this program!
