Review of additional software bundled with MiTAC smartphone
Smartphone is not just a hardware and Microsoft´s operating system, it is also the software that you get pre-installed with it - software that is sometimes not available with other smartphones...
The PhoneCamera program is your tool for taking photos or recording videos on your Smartphone:

The PhoneViewer program allows you to view pictures in JPEG and BMP formats, display a
slideshow of all the pictures, and edit the pictures:

VideoPlayer allows you to play the videos you have recorded using PhoneCamera:

Another program delived with MiTAC is jBrowser - the tool for browsing WAP pages on your Smartphone.
WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) is specially designed for mobile phones. WAP pages are
provided and maintained by WAP service providers. You can obtain a variety of information from
the WAP pages, including banking, news, weather report, flight schedules, and more.
jBrowser supports:
- Various content types, including WBXML, WML1.3, WML2.0, XHTML mobile profile,
cHTML and vCard / vCal.
- Various image formats, including GIF (without animation), PNG, TIFF, BMP and WBMP.
- WAP Push messages that serve as alert messages to the user.
Another program pre-installed with MiTAC is jMMS:

You can use the jMMS program to send and receive MMS
(Multimedia Message Service) messages. MMS technology
combines audio and image contents and can be send instantly via
GPRS wireless network.
jMMS has been built over WAP and 3GPP specifications and is
interoperable with the existing MMSC.
PhoneReader:

... allows you to read books (in txt, html, pdb and prc formats) on your Smartphone. It
features bookmarks, favorites and auto sliding.
You can download files to your desktop computer or purchase electronic books. Then, use
ActiveSync to copy the files to the \IPSM\My Documents of your Smartphone or to a storage card.
PhoneExplorer:

...allows you to explore and manage the folders and files in your Smartphone. You
can add new folders, cut, copy, paste, rename and delete folder/files.
PhoneCity:

... gives you a glance of the current time in five different cities.
MetalStrike is a two-dimensional shooting game:

... divided into two tasks. Each task takes place in a
different landform with a variety of weapons.
Software bundle of MiTAC smartphone also includes Java MIDP from IBM:

Another program bundled with MiTAC is PhoneBackup, that allows you to back up the Outlook data or other data in your Smartphone to another
storage and then restore them.
Conclusion: the software bundle delivered with MiTAC smartphone is very impressive and despite the fact that resolution of the built-in camera of this smartphone is smaller than the attachable camera of Orange SPV, the additional software makes it up. The most important feature of the MiTAC smartphone is the fast (200 MHz) XScale processor, processor faster than in HTC made smartphones like SPV or SPV E100, processor that should make using of this software much more pleasant...
